Boy oh boy, are you in luck! Since I posted that message for my husband (who's father was the youngest of those 12 children) we have found a HUGE family (plus a few strays), and even had a reunion last August in Iowa! If it is the same family, your great-grandfather's cousin (give or take a generation) is even still alive!

I can't keep track of all the details myself, please e-mail my husband at hknackstedt@hotmail.com to see where you link in!

The next reunion will tentatively be in Canada in a year or two!

I read your message. My uncle was Ernie Knackstedt and my grandfather was August Knackstedt. My mother is Anne Knuth (nee: Knackstedt) a daughter of August Knackstedt. I live in Regina, Saskatchewan. There are several Knackstedt families in Saskatchewan. My grandfather farmed at Englefield Saskatchewan.
