Hey Brian,
Do you know anything about Jerome Knable Sr.'s parents or where he was born? I was looking through the queries here comparing Knable names to my Knaebel names. As it has been pointed out, it seems probable these two families are the same. I went to familysearch.com and plugged in Jerome Knaebel (not using exact spelling). Jerome came up but so did Heironymus. This makes me think that Jerome is the American name for Heironymus. I have a Heironymus Knaebel in my family tree, who was born Jan. 27, 1812 (very similiar to your Jan. 17, 1812). Possibly are they the same people? Heironymus was born in Stollhofen, Baden, Germany. His parents were Franz Erhard Knaebel and Maria Josepha Bernhard. There is many of the Knaebel family recorded at the Family Search website. I'll send you what I've recorded on the family (all the info I have is from the website) if you'd like. I'd like to hear what you think.

Bobby you have some information wrong on the Knables. Bud's name was James Max Knable, his father was August Albert Knable and his father was Max Knable. I believe Jerome Knable was a brother to Max Knable.

My grandfather was August Albert Knable, my mother was Goldie Valada Knable Arnold. Her siblings were Alberta Knable Harding, Rosalie Knable Linne, Frank, Louie, James(Bud), Johnny, Gene, and Carolyn Sue Knable. I think that is all of them...??? My mother was the only one to leave the Troy area, we lived in Cumberland MD.
I would like to know if this helps you and if you can help me with any info.
