Re: Looking To Hire A Geneaology Consultant (Germnay/Hungary)
Hello, you spoke to my father a few years ago about our ancestors, the Knabs, who we believe started out in Germany before they moved to Mokrin, Hungary. (currently now considered Serbia) We are trying to figure out where in Germany they came from before migrating to Morkin. Do you have any information about this, or know how we could find this out? Thank you for your time.

Re: Looking To Hire A Geneaology Consultant (Germnay/Hungary)
Hi Amy
I recently married into the Knab family and am interested in finding my husbands genealogy. His grandfather and grandmother both came from the Mokrin area. Martin Kaspar Knab born in 1891 to Kaspar and Katherine Ottlinger Knab. married to Anna Rossman born 1984 to William and Anna Alb or Alp Rossman. Any relatives?
If so, contact me please.

Re: Looking To Hire A Geneaology Consultant (Germnay/Hungary)
I come from a Knab family. My greatgrandparents come from Gottlob a small town in Hungary, I don't know what it was called after the war. The parents Joseph Knabb(Parents-Frank Knab/Katerina Heizel) and Susanna Eberhart along with Joes Brother William Knabb and his wife Herminia (I dont know last name yet). All 4 believed to come to American here in 1904. Joe/Sue has had a number of children. 1)Jacob 2)Anna 3)Helen- died young 4)Michael - died young 4)Magdeline (AKA-Helen) William/Herminia I think had a few children 1)William -Fact 2)Pauline 3)Gertrude 4)John I have the Census ffrom 1920 and 1930, Someone else wrote down the info, so it's unknown who belonged to who. My Grandmom was Magdeline who married a Thomas McBride. I hope this helps. I do have much more information. If this does turn out to be the same connecting family, please inform me and I'll send you the information that I have. Alternate spelling (Knalt) O, my name is Barbara

Re: Looking To Hire A Geneaology Consultant (Germnay/Hungary)
All your info matches up pretty good. Michal died as a young child due to a medicine mix up from the pharm. Helen was born in 1915 and also died as a young child. Magdelena(born 1919) who was called Helen throughout her life is the one who married Thomas McBride. As for the2 children that died we don't have any information paperwise to help us unerstand anything else about them.

Re: Looking To Hire A Geneaology Consultant (Germnay/Hungary)
We believe that Franz Knab father was William and mother Eva, but can't find birth for either or date. Has anyone been able to find out more about William, Franz's father?
