Not familiar with anyone in Dolton Il. My father lives in Algonquin Il. His name is Dennis.
His father was Walter and he lived in Dundee Il
Walters father was named William, I don't know where he lived.
He was born in 1887. His father, (don't know his name) was married to a woman named Reka. She was born in 1851.
I don't know how many children William had. Walter had 1 son, Dennis.
Any info on your side would be greatly appreciated.
I am at xrdtrider@aol.com

If you are searching the Knabusch name, maybe you should not call them stuck up in order to get help. Anyway, my maiden name is Knabusch and I am from Monroe, Michigan...so I guess you are referring to my family. I have just started researching the Knabusch name, but have not gotten far. I have found a John and Ida Knabusch (married couple) whose parents were both born in Germany. Have you found anything?

I just came to this site...and am in awe as I've been trying to make connections with the Shumaker and Knabusch family. My mother's maiden name is Ruth Shumaker. She was born in Monroe, MI and her dad was Henry Levi Shumaker and she was first cousin to Edwin Shoemaker (they confused spellings leaving my mother not even sure which was correct) and cousin to Edward Knabusch. I have heard my mother mention John and Ida often. I have never been able to get beyond this...so finding this message is now intriguing and exciting. Hoping you receive this...Carole
