Hi,
On his marriage license issued in Cleve O in 1935, Andrew said he was born in Poland and his US residence was Buffalo NY. His father was Frank and his mother Frances Rik. He was 42. On his SS5 form dtd 1937, his father's name is Kayetan and his mother's name is Frances Rak. His date of birth is 30 Nov 1893. According to the SSDI, this was changed to 30 Nov 1890 and his date of death is Dec 1965 in Texas. If any of this matches what you have, email me at lensue@webtv.net.

Hi
I know little of Andrew. He was born in Poland in either 1890 or 1893. He lived in Buffalo until 1935 or so. Married my gmother in 1935. She passed away in 1942 and he died in 1965 in NY. His parents were Kayetan AKA Frank and Frances Rak or Rik. I last saw him in Apr '45.
So, that's all I know. I don't know if he had any siblings, though I suspect he did.

hi!i am a Kmiecik as well. We all live around Marinette County, and a few moved to Alaska. we have no relation that we know of outside of marinette county, but a few months ago my dad was at a airport in new mexico.. and someone had shouted out the Kmiecik last name, and him and a lady near him both answerd to it. She was from Milwaukee WI, about 2 hours away from us. Not sure if that is a direct relation or not but it was pretty odd. Also, i believe that Kmiecik is not our "actual" last name. My great great grandmother left my gpa for a man from milwaukee whos last name was kmiecik.. he passed away just shortly before their wedding, but according to the story she held the last name and passed it on..

mabye one of you know something about it?
