Stephanie,

Disregard my last message. For some reason, my research showed Charles J. Cieloha's father to be John Cieloha, but looking at your info, you have his father as being Joseph and his grandfather was named John. I also see that the family came from Tarnow or its environs. I was trying to find out, since I will be in that area in a couple of weeks. I would appreciate it if you could confirm this and pass any other Cieloha information my way. Thank you.

Eric

Don't take my info as being totally accurate - I have always been confused about Joseph and John and they all named their children the same! Joseph's father's name was John.
Who is your grandmother and where is she from? I live in Greeley, CO where a number of Cieloha's are buried. Also, there are a number of different ways to spell the name as I am sure you have experienced. We are probably distant cousins!
I think the Cieloha's were from the same area as Kmiciek's -my guess is the families knew each other before they immigrated, which is very common.
I am in the process of transferring my data to the new Family Tree Maker so as soon as I have an update I will be happy to share.
I will be excited to hear about your trip to Poland - someplace I have always wanted to go.

Yes, we are definitely related. My grandmother is Helen Cieloha, but her married name was Hulse. I grew up in LaSalle, and my parents are still there. I had always thought that my grandmother's family was the only one to move to Colorado, having only known her and my great aunt Dorothy, who was a great, great person. Now, to my surprise I've found that there was practically a migration.

I found the three youngest Cieloha's, out of 15 children, still living in CO. My grandfather was Louis Cieloha, oldest brother to Helen Veronica who married Walter Hulse.
We lived in LaSalle for a long time and our daughter graduated from Valley High School.
I was in touch with the Kmiciek connection yesterday so we will be adding info to family file that we will be placing on Family Tree Guide.

Hello,

Could you tell me if you know if Mary and Joseph had children named Dolores born 9/15/1933 and Raymond born 1/24/1940? Dolores passed away late last year and I am trying to find any of her relatives. Thanks!

Dear John,
You may not remember me, but I was your elementary-school teacher long ago. I'm now a university professor of French in Conecticut, re-married with two daughters, aged 25 (just began Law School) & 22 (pre-veterinary, maybe, or Forensic Anthropology). As I'm approaching retirement, I'm casting far & wide on the Internet for people from the past. I remember you & Michael well, & hope you're both doing fine.
