Kmetz family, Garfield, Lodi & Passaic, NJ

Surnames: Kmetz
Looking for info about the Kmetz family plot at St. Peter's Greek Catholic Cemetery in Garfield, NJ. My grandfather George John II is buried there along with his brother John & his uncle Peter. We believe that the George listed on the founders plaque is my great grandfather, George John I, altho we cannot find a marker for him. There are several markers for people we cannot identify - only listed as "Father" or "Eva" for example. Any help would be appreciated.

I am not related to the KMETZ family. Of course, the Mr. KMETZ that came from "old country" from Felso Orlich. That is what I am trying to help you with.
I am the person who posted to you on www.radixforum.com

Sorry, I did not see the Radix post, I am working mostly from this ancestry site right now. Eva's last name was Barna, I believe. I have found a few Barna's & Kmetz's in old baptism/marriage records from the links you provided, but so far have not matched any dates. We also believe that the family of Peter J. Wilhousky is from the same town or county & has some connection to our family through the Chromiak/Zemlonsky branch who are also from that area, possibly Udol/Ujak.
Thanks for your help so far - this is new research for me, but very interesting!

Thanks so much! The spellings & transcriptions are often hard to read & vary from site to site so I appreciate the help. I will check out the Slovak boards as well.

Surnames: Kmetz, Wilchovsky (Wilhousky)
Still looking for Kmetz & Wilhousky, Wilchovsky from Felso Orlith/Vysny Orlik - so far no response from the Slovak boards. George or Gyorgy Kmetz married Eva Barna: Eva born 1844 or 45, George born 1838 or later. We have ship manifests for Eva & sons named Gnicho & Jurko (George & Peter?) arriving in the US 1881 or 82. George or Gyorgy may have come over before them.
Josef Wilchovsky (later americanized to Wilhousky & Williams) is also from Felso Orlith. His wife, Julia Hnat(h) is from Ujak (Udol).
