Hi,

I'm looking for more information on Anna Kmetz and Andrew (Andro) Hartos, married 21 June 1891 in Manhattan County, New York.

Their children were Elizabeth Hartos (b. 21 Feb 1895) and Marie (aka Mary) Hartos (b. 2 Feb 1900).

They lived on Park Row in Wallington, NJ. Elizabeth Hartos married George Macko (aka Matsko, Motsko) who was born 19 April 1895, POB Kelly's Island, Ohio.

Thanks!

KMETZ you might try KMEC as that is the spelling also found in Slovak Republic.
SK's phone book is listing HARTOS^. www.zoznamst.sk

Thank you for the suggestion about the spelling.

I did some more research and found out that my Anna Kmetz was from Hanusovce nad Toplou. I've been going through the LDS microfilms of the church records from Hanusovce, and I have found her family. The name on the old church records was spelled KMECZ.

She and Andras/Andro Hartos were married in this country, in Manhattan, by Pastor Vincent Pisek. On the marriage certificate, she spells her name as KMETZ.
