My grandfather Klymko came from Premsysl area. Emigrated to Manitoba, Canada around 1910, then to Detroit in the 20s.

Hi I just did a google search on my surname, and found your post.

The Kalytiak family I married into is from Lviv, Ukraine. My father in law, Roman Kalytiak, fled to the U.S. after World War II and met his wife, Halyna Bartkiw, also a Ukrainian refugee, in California. They married in Hamtramck, Michigan in the early '50s and lived in the Detroit area until their deaths in 1985 (Halyna) and 1996 (Roman). How are you related to the Kalytiaks? I have limited information about their lineage, but will help you as much as possible.

Do you know where your Kolodij's originated from?

Hello! I wondered if you were ever able to get any more information on your Kalytiak line? Thanks Lisa ford4x4@epix.net

No, we haven't heard from any Kalytiaks, unfortunately. We may be making a trip to Ukraine sometime in the not too distant future, however, and will be looking into whatever records we can find there.
