Trying to help a friend find her family. Her mother was Anna Klym born at Ladywood, Manitoba, Canada. Her father was Joseph Conrad Werner also from Manitoba.

my father's name is klym. This is a Ukranian name as you probably know. My father came to the U.K from the Ukraine when he was only about 21, he was in the army at the time.

My grandfather John Harold Klym (last name was changed to Klim due to company business), he was born in Ukraine. He had 5 sisters, Ann (born in Ukraine), Jessie (born in Manitoba), Kay (Born in Manitoba), Marie (born in Ukraine), Nellie (born in Manitoba). Their parents were Helen and Harry Klym. Nellie is the last remaining of the original family that is still alive, she is 93 yrs old. I have been trying to get more information, but unfortunately that is all that I have for now, as my great aunt Nellie's memory is not as good as it use to be. When Harry and Helen moved from the Ukraine, I believe they moved to Chatfield, Manitoba. I am trying to find out more about my ancestry as well.

I just saw your query today. My father's maternal aunt married
a Klym in Kopychintsi, Ukraine, formerly Kopyczynce, Galicia.
One or two of their sons immigrated to Saskatchewan and later
to Montreal. Do you think there is a connection? If you think
so, e-mail me at eritchie@sasktel.net.
