This Prussian officer became a German general in World War I. Three families have met on other bulletin boards, and we all are tracing relationships to him: 1 brother, 1 sister, one half-sister(or cousin).
We're looking for family information, ca 1843.
Will be happy to e-meet all "cousins".

Dear Karen,

I am working of Kluck descendants in the Midwest. We are descendants of Andreas Kluczykowski (Kluck) and Anna Richter married 1818 in Koscierzyna. All of their children: John, Leonard, Vincent, August and Pauline settled in the Wisconsin area, except for Michael who remained in Poland.

I use Family Tree maker and have 13,000 people in my database. Almost half are Kluck's and spouses.

If you think that there is any way we could help each other please let me know.

Thanks,

Jeanette Kluck

My GreatAunt Regina Wasielewski's maiden name was Kluczykowski. She was born 11/23/1905. She had a brother who was a priest. She died on 11/5/1980. I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which is where she lived most of her life. Do you think we're related?

Hi Catherine,

Yes we are related! Regina was a second cousin of my father Wallace Kluck.

I do not have you on my descendant list and wonder where you fit in. Who are your parents and grandparents?

I have information going back to a Kluck wedding in Lubon, Poland 1818. We are all descendants from those Klucks.

Will be in touch,

Jeanette

What a wonderful find! My grandparents were Charles Lillian Wasielewski (Regina's husband Joe's brother wife), and my parents were Mary Ken Uhlenkamp. I can email a gedcom copy of my family tree to you, and have some info on the net. Email me at kschmid@execpc.com if you want to talk directly. This is great!

Karen,I have been told that my grandfather,Martin Andrew Kluck(1862 to 1952) and son of Peter P and Catherine KLuck, was a 3rd cousin of General von Kluck. My grandfather was born in Zeppnov,Germany and came to the USA when he was seven years old or in 1869. I am just getting started on my research. Do you think there is a relationship?
