I believe you and I descend from the same line of Klicks. Your grandfather was Elba. My grandfather was his brother, Clifford Luther Klick, Sr. Clifford was the father of Robert Dean Klick, my Dad. I basically have the same information as you. If your knowledge on Jacob, or Peter and Louisa has increased since this posting, I would love to know. Thank you so much.

I am also a descendant of Jacob Klick. Please contact me at jcklick@sbcglobsl.net
Jacob Klick lived at 17 Mile Stand, Ohio which was 17 miles from Cinncinati. I am trying to find information about what part of Bavaria that he was from. I would also like to find out information about any siblings.
Thanks
JC Klick

My daughter-in-law is a daughter of William Dean Klick and I have been helping her some with the ancestry research. Her uncle who lives at Attica Kansas was over here this weekend and told about you hosting a Klick family reunion Labor Day and a possible printed genealogy you have done on the family. However; her uncle had your address as at Moore, Oklahoma and since the tornado I don't know where you are (I think OKC) but no way to contact you about the reunion or the book. I found a phone number for a Jon D. Pennington (who I think is your son) and left a message for you to contact us....but no answer yet. We would love to hear from you. My son and daughter-in-law only learned about the reunion and book this very weekend and are hoping to get the particulars so they can attend if possible.

Greetings from a Klick Genealogist,

Yes indeed, we are having a Klick reunion on Saturday, September 7 at the Callaway Christinian Church (same location as the 2012 reunion).

I am Dave Klick (Beaverton, Oregon) working with other Klick genealogists on an update of the Klick Family History Notebook (originally published 50 copies in 2002 - now greatly outdated. :)

Our branch of the Klick line is from patriarch Martin Adam Klick, born 24 December, 1808 in Wollin Pommern, Germany and died 19 June 1881 at his home near Stolpe, Missouri.

Martin's parents were Johann Klick born 1764 and Anna Catharina Januschke born 1768. Johann's parents were Paul Klick born 1707 and Dorthea Notke born 1728.

Perhaps you will find a Klick branch match back in the old country. My wife and I were in Germany last month.

Martin, his wife Caroline (Bock) and their nine children sailed from Bremen (or Bemerhaven), Germany in a wooden sailboat Kena Barque Union and arrived in New York on 15 September 1858 and then made their way to Missouri where they settled near Hermann. Those nine children had 103 children and spouses.

In September 2012, at the Klick family reunion, we had descendant representatives from six of the nine children of Martin Adam Klick.

You, and others interested in Klick genealogy, would be welcome to attend the Sept. 7 2013 Missouri Klick reunion. Contact me for detailed information.
