Hello,
They ring a bell !! Adam and Ameila are my great grandparents, my grandmother was Ionia Rose Klebe Bell, my mother is Ionia Rose Bell Schmitt. Adam and Ameila lived on Hanover St, my grandmother lived most of her life on Johnson St, my mother live on Johnson St and Charles St and now lives in Annapolis, MD. My grandfather Charles T Bell still lives on Johnson St. I remember as a little gril that my grandmother's brother Adam lived on Hanover and one of his daughters married an Ireland. Aunt Ameila lived around the corner from my grandparents (I think Heath St but not sure). My grandparents had three children and raised a cousin as a son. Their names are Henry M. Bell Sr (born 1938/39), his twin sister Ethel N. Bell Howard (born 1938/39 & died 1988/89), my mother Ionia Rose Bell Schmitt (born 1941), and the cousin Charles T. Bell (born 1946). Adam was the son of George &Mary Klebe, the grandson of Peter & Eliza Klebe. That is all I know so far and we have not keep up with the Klebe line for years. So HELLO COUSIN !!! I notice Wroten as one of your names --- My grandfather Bell's sister Ethel N. Bell married William Wroten and lived on Johnson St, had a bar on the corner of Barney & Hanover, owned several houses in South Baltimore, and the Shore here in Annapolis. Are you related the these Wrotens ? His sister was Chrissy and Martha---also had a brother George. Martha's son was Edward and her daughter was Delores. I know alittle about them but not much. Uncle Will lived with us when I was a kid -- he was like another grandfather. He and my aunt never had children. Contact me and I tell you more about Ionia's family --grandkids,great grandkids, etc.

Hi Anne,
I found out from my grandfather that Ameila Klebe's maiden name was Geisler (not sure of spelling & am doing research), and her parents were from Germany. My mother remembers her Great Grandmother Geisler as having a heavy Germann accent (she was a real little girl at the time). I will let you know anything I find out. Oh by the way Peter was from Prussia not Germany as originally thought. I have found ship records thru this site.

Hi, The Klebe's are as follows ---from all the information I have found and verified. My grandmother was Ionia Rose Klebe Bell, her parents were S.Adam and Amelia Klebe (both born in Maryland), Adam's parents were George and Mary Klebe (both born in Maryland), George's parents were Peter and Eliza Klebe (both born in Prussia. Peter & Eliza's oldest son Peter Jr served in the Civil War (Union)and listed as Distinguished. Peter & Eliza arrived in US in 1845 classified as Hessian Immigrants, they came with 3 children (one of whom later died). Our ancestor George was born in this country in 1854
