Hello all of you nice genealogists. I am trying to help my girlfriend find members of her family. They were primarily from Schuylkill County, PA. and at that predominantly from Shenandoah / Frackville area. So far we have a Miklas (Michael) Masonus (b. abt. 1871), married to a Rose Gober (b. abt. 1871).

So far we can document that Miklas came from Lithuania / Poland region, primary city is Suwalk (please forgive improper spelling when necessary). He came to the USA about 1893, had at least one brother Antanas (Anthony), and we think there were other relatives, but can't document them.

Rose Gober came over about 1896, also from the same general area. They met here and married. Rose had at least one sister Agnes.

As far as we know, most of Miklas' children died young, although we cannot find anything on a son Joseph and a duaghter Mary. Other children of Miklas we do know about are Katie, Helen, Anna, Isabel, Albert, Veronica, Michael and Eva.

We are trying to identify if Miklas had any other siblings, and where they may be today. If any of this sounds like it might be familar, please let me know. I would love to surprise her with some new information, no matter how small it may appear.

I am looking for a Isabel who maybe be related. Please e-mail me at tomaszektl@yahoo.com, The last name was very much mutilated in all the census reports. Isabel was born in Shenandoah and left there in 1940.

Hello I'm Andrew John Edwin Kizis, and lived in England until i was 26 years old, the last 18 years ive been living in Holland, anyway that's enough about me... Now about my family (or what i know).

My father "Francis Kizis" was the youngest of 13 children and was born in Scotland (Harthill, close to Edinburgh) in 1933, his parents moved to Scotland around 1900. I would like to learn more about my family (possibly our family), any information is welcome.

What is really strange is the common factor of names, you see alot of names that are being used by the 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th generations.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Andy Kizis.

I do not believed we are related as the family was NOT originally from Scotland.
