My maiden name is Kangas formerly Kivikangas. My aunt has been doing our geniology and ancestory research for several years. Please email me if you would like me to pass on your information to her. I would be happy to ask her to contact you, and I'm sure she would love to exchange information with you.

Thank you,

Hi!
I`m living in Finland and my maiden name was Kivikangas. In Finland it`s not a very common name. There is 282 people who has that name today...266 of them are living in Finland...
So...I was born in a little place called Evijärvi. My father borned in Lappajärvi and so also his father and so on...
The first man named Kivikangas in my family tree was Juho Kivikangas, borned 12.7.1845 in Lappajärvi. His father surname was Laasanen/Tarvonen.
I bet there`s some people named Kivikangas who are not the same descent as we are. Anyway - I know that there is living people called Kivikangas at least in Evijärvi, Lappajärvi, Kortesjärvi and Pietarsaari (middle of Finland) and some of my relatives in capital of Finland(Helsinki), too. It`s an Ostrobothnian name.
I hope this helped you some way:)))
Best wishes fron Finland: Minna H.
