First off, let me just apologize for taking such a long time to reply. Yes, I we are talking about the same John and Obadiah. I found out some things that may be of interest to you. According to my famly history book, Obadiah was only married to Sarah Reynolds. But the fact that Obadiah fathered 10- yes, 10 children makes me wonder. Did your grandmother's writings say he had another wife, out of curiosity?

Now, back to the 3 children of his that you were unaware of. I found it interesting that they all happened to be girls. There was Betsy Kitchell (married Stephen Baldwin and had 8 children) and Lydia Kitchell (no children). Then there was Sally Kitchel, who was actually Daniel's twin sister. She did not have any children. If you would like any dates, or more info on anything else, I PROMISE I will reply to you in a more timely manner! ~Laura

Surnames: Hanes, Cox, Wade,Kitchel, Hanmore, Mason, Shelton
Hi, Mary Kitchel, the child from Mary beckley and Jacob Kitchel, would of been my great grandmother. She married a Calvary Cox. There's not much else I know about the line, except a copy of the 1880 Census, which list, Jacob, Mary, Missouri A., Lewis, Mary, Layfaette, Christopher and another 3 year old child with the name of Arthur Downen. I would love any info you have on that line. The surnames that are in my family are Hanes, Cox, Kitchel, Wade, Hanmore, Mason, Shelton, Ellison. Thanks alot.
