My father was born in 1911, Philip Morton Kitay, Brooklyn NY
to Benjamin Kitay of Riga, Latvia and Esther Price.
He has a sister Syd and Martha. Martha lived in NJ and had at least one son. Her married name was Fisher.
By the way, do you know that Kitay is Russian for China and that there is a major subway stop in Moscow, the Kitay-Gorod.
Linda, my sister in law is Linda Kitay and I thought you were her!

My mother's maiden name was Kitay. Her father's name was Wasyl Kitaj, changed to William Kitay after coming here in 1923 (the last trip) with his family. He was born in Skalat, Galicia, Austria. He said he was Ukrainian.

I know we have relatives, but don't know where they are. Wasyl was born in 1892, his father's name was Mikola and his mother Yawdocha or something like that. Wasyl emigrated and lived in New York City.

I have been told we have relatives in New York, New Jersey and possibly Pennsylvania.

Please contact me if you think there is a connection. Thank you.
