I am also looking for information on a Kiss family from Hungary. My great grandparents both migrated from Hungary to the US. One was from Lovaspotona and the other from Papakovacsi. My great grandfather was Janos Kiss and my great grandmother was Julia Pruczki. I know that Janos had two brothers, Ferenz (frank) and Julius. I think they built houses in Hungary.
I noticed the other messages in other forums that you posted. Are they in Hungarian?
I know very little about this family and would love any information you could share if you have any.
Thanks, Teri Kiss Sturm

Dear Teri: I am sorry but I have cheked my family genealogy and I haven't seen any conection between our families. The ''Kiss''name is a very popular name in Hungary like here ''Smith, Johnson'' etc. The other 2 messages are in Hungarian and they are about almost similar subjects. Iwish you good luck in your family search and have a nice Holiday Janos Kiss

Teri, Are you sure that your branch of the "KIS" family is from Hungary? I had always assumed so too until I learned that my branch come from all over Germany. Let me know. ~Christy~

I am positive. It was only two generations back when my family came from Hungary. (great grandparents) My uncle went to the village in Hungary.

Do you have any dates or other information on Janos Kiss or Anna Fark. I have recently found a Janos Kis and Anna Farkas in my family. They were from the county of VAS. Probably Var Keszo or Egyhazaskeszo Hungary.
Please reply. Teri Kiss Sturm
