I have a connection - albeit remote - to a William Kirkhouse who married one of my cousins Mira or Maria Hulin, daughter of Orpheus Hulin of St Briavels, Gloucestershire. Mira and William Kirkhouse had at least three children; Bedlington Kirkhouse, born about 1855, William Kirkhouse, born about 1856 and Barbara Kirkhouse, born about 1862. Various places are given for their birth's - according to the census in which they appear, including; East Dean, Gloucestershire; St Whites (?) Gloucestershire and Cinderford, Gloucestershire.

William Kirkhouse snr., states he was born about 1816 or 1814 at Merthyr, Glamorgan which is most likely Merthyr Tydfil. He was an Accountant and Farmer and his son Bedlington was a Cattle Dealer. I don't really have much on them, only the info from the 1901, 1891, and 1881 census. Of course I have lots of info on Mira's family, but that would be of limited interest to you. I don't have any contact with any living Kirkhouse's unfortunately.

If you'd like the info I have let me know. It would be nice to have more of course.
