Hello June,

In reviewing some of my posts to Rootsweb notice boards I see that there was no reply from me as to the mother of Mira or Maria KIRKHOUSE nee HULIN. Her mother was Sarah LEE (apparently she made cakes and pies) but more that that I don't know. Here are the details of the marriage of Mira/ Maria and William KIRKHOUSE;

I could not find the birth details of Sarah LEE. It has been suggested she was born in St Briavels, Gloucestershire, but no records have been found.

William Orpheus KIRKHOUSE married Sarah Ann CURTIS at Banbury, Oxfordshire in 1880. Here is the various census information on this couple;

In the 1881 Census of England and Wales William & Sarah Kirkhouse were recorded as follows;

1881 Census - Neithrop, Banbury, Oxfordshire. RG 11/ 1529 - 37 - 5 - 34.

34) William Kirkhouse head of household, married male aged 25, Painter, born Cardiff, Glamorgan; his wife Sarah Ann Kirkhouse female aged 24, born Banbury, Oxfordshire.
