Following on from my previous posting, no, this Peter KIRK was definitely not the one christened at Thomas Becket 27 Sep 1805 and he was not the Peter KIRK who married Hannah OLIVER.

I think it is likley that he was a son of John KIRK and his wife Ann WATERHOUSE, although I haven't been able to find evidence for his birth (other than age on census returns) or christening.
