SPRINGFIELD - Kenneth W. Kirbach, 73, of Springfield died Thursday, May 19, 2005, at his home.
He was born Jan. 10, 1932, in Springfield, the son of Otto and Anna Schuck Kirbach. He married Georgianna "Dana" Raleeh in 1953 in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Kirbach graduated from Mount Olive High School in 1950. He served in the U.S. Army for two years and in the U.S. Navy for four years, during which he was in President Truman's honor guard. He and his wife operated Springfield Construction Co. for 22 years and Jefferson West Mini Storage.
He was a Little League coach and member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council 4179.
Survivors: wife, Georgianna; daughter, Kathy (husband, Scott) Eicher of Ojai, Calif.; two sons, William Mark Kirbach and Robert J. (wife, Kaila) Kirbach, both of Springfield; five grandchildren; brother, Ronald (wife, Cindy) Kirbach of Wood River; three aunts; and several cousins.
Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Tuesday, St. Agnes Catholic Church, the Rev. Peter Harman officiating. Burial: Calvary Cemetery.
Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
