Join the crowds.=) That is the elusive question to all researchers of this line. I believe he was born in or near Ft. Ann, NY. But the parents have remained a mystery. Patience Broadway's parents are.. Jeremiah Broadway and Althea Unknown Sir name... I got this information from a person who researched the Bradway/Broadway family for years. Patience Bradway (or sometimes, Broadway) was likely born in Fort Ann, Washington Co. NY where her father was living from 1810 until his death on 22 Aug 1823. In 1800, he was still living in Berkshire Co. MA and we can't be certain just when he moved over into NY State, but it was probably before 1805, when his son Richard says (in the census) that he was b. in NY.
Jeremiah Bradway (Broadway) left a will in Washington Co. naming his wife Althea (so that's not conjecture), his sons Richard, Thomas and Jeremiah/Jeremy, daughters Nelly, wife of Benajah Jenkins and Polly (Mary), Patience and Lydia, the latter 3 under the age of 18. All but Richard removed to Lewis Co. NY. Richard MAY have been there himself, for a short period of time but, if so, he returned to Washington Co., where some of his descendants still reside.
