David Kimzey was born C. 1761. and Died between 1822 when he marries Mrs Nancy Kimzey and 1828 when he does not sign for his daughter to marry, his son James sings.
In the 1880's Peoria History book his son Robert B Kimzey says he is the third child of David and Elizabeth Kimzey. Her last name is unknown. Elizabeth dies between 1818 and 1820 in White Co, Il. The country lines in this area change almost every year early. They were living in the same place but the county line changes from White to Hamilton. There was a flu epidemic in the winter of 1818/1819 in White County and I belive Elizabeth and several children died at this time. They are in the household for the Illinois 1818 Census and not for the National 1820 census. We have found marrieage records for the rest in Livingston Co, Ky and Gallitan, White and Hamilton Counties in Illinois. Then in 1822 David Remarries. But they are not found by 1830.
We do not find David in 1778 when his father and brothers(James and Benjamin) take the oath of Alliegence. I believe he is not old enough. David moved quite a bit and a lot of the time the Crowley's and his brother James were not far away. In 1799 he goes to Jackson Co, Ga court to take care of a problem for his brother James, who had died.
His last four children were born in Jackson Co Ga which is just east of Atlanta. The Children before that were born in South Carolina. About 1809 he moves to Tennesse to be with James, his brothers, children. By 1812 he has moved to Livingston Co, Ky and by 1816 across the river into Illinois. Two of his son's stay in Livingston Co, Ky(now Crittenden.)
In the 1805 Cheokee Ga land lottery he had a draw but did not recieve any land. It was the later lotteries that were given to Revolutionary soldiers.
