The Margaret Gragg born to John Gragg and Nancy Ann Wood was born in that time range. (1725-1740)

And Edith Moffiett letter written in 1917 says there were four sons of Benjamin McKimzey and Margaret McGragg: Benjamin, William, Franklin, and Thomas and a daughter Hannah. Well we know that there were more than that. We know that Benjamin is in a court record saying Benjamin Jr son of my brother Benjamin (by Wm by Ben I's brother). We have Benjamin Sr, Benjamin II and James, taking the oath of allegience in 1778/1779. We have Ben I, Ben II, David, Francis Posey (husband of Mary) in the 1800 census and in Henry co, Va records. We have David being in court in Jackson Co, Ga in 1799 handling the estate of his brother James.
There are church records that give Hannah Kimzey Posey death date(mother of Rev Humphrey Posey and wife of William Posey). The only ones we have not found are sons William and Franklin, so must have died before of age or did not exist.
For years everyone thought that the William was actually the William, son of Ben II.
William, son of Ben II, was the only one of Benjamin II's children that did not move to Tn and then some went to Missouri. William married Rebecca Williamson and they died in Georgia.

And there is a possiblity that there was A Franklin in one of the other counties of NC but died without issue.
With David and James and their issue moving away from NC and Georgia at an early time(about 1809), they were not known by the Kimsey/Kimzey's still living in the area. In Missouri, James children used the Kimsey, and Benjamin II's children used Kimzey. David's Children used the Kimzey until later generations and now part use the s and part the z. Thomas children used the Kimsey. But few of them could read and write until early 1800's. They were at the mercy of the court reporters.

My only other source was Edgar Kimsey and his wife Collette. Edgar died in 2002 and Collette in 2005. They did Kimsey genealogy for about 50 years and Edgar was a Kimsey descendend from his father and his mother. Collette said many years ago she and Edgar saw a book, that is now lost that had the descendancy. She claimed it was Ben I and Margaret Gregg/Gragg. If you go back on the message board, you will find some of her posts.
Then Benjamin II and Agnes Lane.
But I choose not to put a wife in my genealogy, so I only have Margaret Gragg in my notes until I can prove it. Which may never happen.
