Has anyone actually seen the Thomas Kinsey (sic) Family Bible Record that has been transcribed as a source in some Kimsey family trees? It is described as the record of Thomas Kimsey, 4th son of Benjamin Kimsey and 2nd wife, Margaret McGregg. It was reported to be on microfilm at the Georgia Archives, Drawer 91, Roll 62. It is alleged to be the Thomas Kimsey, who married Nancy McClure. It seems that if it is accurately described, it would clarify that Thomas was the son of Benjamin I (not Benjamin II and Agnes Lane Kimsey (Long)). I have seen the actual scanned copy of the Long Bible, which does seem to support those who say that Thomas Kimsey who married Nancy McClure is not the son of the Benjamin II that Agnes Lane married, but rather Benj I and someone else...possibly this Margaret McGregg. I know that there have been many posts on this board about this question, but I recently found the Thomas Kimsey bible translation and thought it might provide the answer. However, I generally mistrust transcriptions -- just the real document!
