Thanks Mike - I will look for the book you suggested. I did find a Missouri Kimber on a page listing the Kimber family. I will try and locate that and post it. Julie

My dad was Roy Kimber his ancestors came from Canada and were free slaves originally from the Canary Islands. Anyone out there have any Kimber's from that region. My Great Grandfather's name was Matthias and his father was John Kimber married to Ann Lund.

Thanks..I will check the book out. This side of the family seems to end up at a dead end.
Missouri Kimber married Agustas (sp) Vollintine late 1800's. Their son, James Louis Vollintine was born 1890.

Hi,
I am researching James Meacham and his wife Emma Kimber. I was interested to read that you may have American Indian in you.
I too have heard that my husband as American Indian blood in him and i am trying to find this link. I have a photo of an American Indian lady - probably of the Blackfoot tribe and probably from around Philadelphia. She could be my husbands 3rd or 4th great grandmother.
Have you been able to find any links with your John Kimber and Emma Currier.
Best Wishes, Tricia.

My grandfather was Leonard Warren Kimber, son of John Kimber and Emma Currier. My father was Leonard W.'s son Leonard Lester. I would welcome more information on the family and the possible American Indian connection. Hoping you will share. Thanks.
