I have a Sarah A. Kimbell married to Joseph P. Miller on the 1880 Springfield, Ohio census. (Joseph has remarried by the 1900 census) Sarah lists her father as being born in New York and mother in Ohio. I would appreciate any help placing her with parents. Thanks

Hi iInda,

I come down through Franklin Kimbell and his mother is not Millie, but Jane, according to census reports and my grandmother. If you get this post please email me at: rickanddelores@yahoo.com. I believe our paths crossed as children and everyone at the family reunion know who you are. I can't remember the exact route down the family tree that connects us, but we're close cousins. My living Kimbells are in Camas, WA.

Thanks,
Delores

Hello Andrew,

I hope I'm getting warm in my pursuit of Abel Kimbell/Kimball. You have responded to Linda's post and she and I are cousins, growing up in the same circle of Kimbells, although I don't remember her. Anyway, would love to compare notes on Abel. Hope this gets to you 7 years after your post.

Looking for ancestors of Sarah (Kimbell) Knowles, b. 1822 in Milford, Otsego, NY, d. 1876 in Clymer Twp., Tioga, PA, m. Ezra B. Knowles abt
1843 in Milford.

The Death Certificate for their daughter, Sophia Delphine (Knowles) Bliss lists her mother's name as Sarah Kimbell.

It is possible Sarah's parents were David and Lena (Osterhout) Kimbell/Kimball from Otsego County, NY.  Census have David's name spelled different ways: Kimball, Kimbell, Kimble.

David Kimbell was born in NY.  1880 census lists both his parent as born in New York.  David's father might be Benjamin.

Sarah (Kimbell) Knowles was my g-g-grandmother.
