I am looking for any information on Ralph Elzie Kilgore. My Ralph married Nancy Larrimore ( I am not sure this was her last name). He was the father of James (December 07, 1825 SC. to February 15, 1874 Walker County AL), who married Mary Hutto (October 25, 1828 SC. to February 12, 1904 Walker County ALa)
I found Ralph and Namcy in the 1850 Walker County census, him age 60 (that would make him born abt 1790)and and her age 57 And she would have been born about 1792). I now feel certain his first name was Ralph, not Elzie. Elzie had to have been his middle name or nick name. They had a 17 year old female listed with them named Epsey. She could have been a daughter or maybe even a slave, I do not know.
I have been told my Ralph could have been the son of Ralph Kilgore Sr. of the King's Mountian fame, but do not thnik so as I have his children as:
