Surnames: KIKOSHIMA, TAKASHI, NAKAMOTO
looking for information regarding Zenshiro KIKOSHIMA and his wife Suye Takashi. Both emigrated from Japan to the seattle area around 1906. they had three daughters and one son. There is reference to a kikoshima island, Japan in 1866, but I could find no later reference to it.

It's my understanding that Zenshiro's given surname (with the mon) was Onikoshima or Onikojima (Devil's son island). cool samurai (kick-butt) name. Very powerful.
Need to see the mon that Ray JR. has.

I collect early pictorialist photographers who were actve in Seattle around the turn of the century, there were mannnnny very talented Japanese American photographers in Seattle... I have an image done by Zenshiro in 1910... He was a talented photographer...I used to have two, but sold one along time ago. I did some more research on him several years ago and he was listed in the Seattle City Directory as an auto mechanic...
