My father's name is Kijak, and his father's (my grandfather) name is also kijak
His name is Kazik Kijak (Karzemecz)
My fathers name is Robert
He lives in Drzerrzoniuw (sp?)
Its 30 min drive from Bielawa

Hi Peter, Your Kijaks are quite a distance from where my family originates; east of Krakow in Borzecin. Do you know where your ancestors come from originally? Were they always in that area? BTW the correct spelling is Dzierzoniow if we are talking about the same town slightly northeast of Bielawa.

I was only aware that they lived there the entire time, But we are talking about the same town :)

Surnames: Kijak
My parents came to US in 1952, father K.Kijak from Krakow or Poznan area & mother from Munich. Have a few relatives still living in Krakow. Would like to hear more.

My great aunt was saved during the war by a "Milczjslaw Kijak" from Krakow and she wishes to thank him and his wife "Goria Kiakova". Does it ring any bell ?
