Always Good to hear from a fellow genealogist.
Your Great grandfather Orrin Daniel Kightlinger was the son of Samuel A. Kightlinger, your great great grandfather. Samuel was one of 15 children born to George and Catherine (Stainbrook), Kightlinger.
My great great grandfather was Jacob S. Kightlinger a brother of Samuel A. Kightlinger.
Jacob and his first wife Emeline Adams had seven children, one of which was my great grandmother Mary Francis Kightlinger. Mary married Edward Sweeny, Jr. of Cooperstown, Venango County, PA. Mary and Edward had two children. 1. Duane Edward Sweeny, Sr. 2. Perl Florence Sweeny.
Duane Edward Sweeny Sr. was my grandfather and namesake. My father was Duane Edward Sweeny, Jr. and I am the III.
I show Samuel b. November 2, 1833 at east Mead Township. He died September 14, 1908, at Conneaut Lake in Crawford County, PA.
I show Samuel married Almira Mcnamara and they had one child.
The child was Orrin Daniel Kightlinger.
I have no other information on this family line. Maybe you can help fill in the blanks. 1. Do you have any other information on Samuel and Almira. 2. Was Almira the only marriage for Samuel. 3. Is there any interesting information on Samuel and Almira. 4. Do you have the dates of birth and death for Almira and where she was born. 5. Do you know the parentage for Almira and their dates of birth and death. 6. I have absolutely no information on Orrin Daniel Kightlinger. a. Provide dates of birth and death for Orrin. b. Where was he was born c. Where he died and where was he buried. d. His marriages e. Information on his spouse(s) f. Information on his children. g. Any interesting information on Orrin and his family.
Let me know if there is anything I might be able to help you with. I would enjoy working with you on you journey into the past.

Re: KIGHTLINGER GENEALOGY
Hello, I'm a descendent of John McDill Kightlinger. I would be very much interested in yours and Frankye's data. It would be nice to see the family connections in the Titusville/Hydetown areas, especially since there were several different spellings of the last name. My grandfather said the different spellings were not related, but I have seen some connections further back. Thank you, Edna McCrory

Re: KIGHTLINGER GENEALOGY
Hello Edna. I received your current post on Kightlinger genealogy. My husband, who was the Kightlinger descendent , died in 2000, almost 15 years ago. We made several trips to Union & Marion Counties in Ohio researching this family. To the best of my memory, Abraham Kightlinger, Sr, was son of Andrew Kightlinger who came from Pennsylvania to Ohio. I do not have the files that my husband and I compiled years ago. I passed them on to a relative, and Frankie Andres did share her information on our direct line with us ..and many others. Perhaps someone who has her research would share with you. Sorry, would love to help.
