My grandfather died right before my dad was born. His name is Harry Edward Kiger. He was born in Dunkirk, Ohio on April 29, 1915. If anyone has any information on his family, please let me know.
Thank You,
Jenny

I have discovered that his Father is Charles E Kiger and his mother is Mary S Kiger. His siblings are Liona M Victor and Sarah M Kiger. I am pretty sure he has a sister named Frances as well. Any info would be great.

Are you sure Charles died before your father was born in 1915? This could be the family in MS on the 1920 census but if so Charles is still living in Jan. 1920:

A good place to search for family records without a paid subscription is familysearch.org. I simply followed the family's census records back in time and from that information, I found it fairly easy to find the marriage record of Edward Kiger and Mary Strang (1896)...... and the birth records for the 5 oldest children: Amy (1897); Walter H. (1899); Earl George (1901); and twins Frances O. and Margaret L. (1904). Their 1900 & 1910 census records are in Hardin Co. Ohio - though the 1910 census was misread and has the family transcribed as "Kiga". The 1920 and 1930 census records shows the family living in Jackson Co. Mississippi - though the 1920 census shows the family as "Keiger". And the 1940 census shows Charles and his sister Laura still living in Jackson Co. Mississippi - but again using the spelling of "Keiger." You will note that the earlier records show your Charles Edward as Edward or Edward C. Someone has this family posted on Ancestry.com - but with less information that what you can find with your search at familysearch.org. But perhaps you can contact them privately and do a joint search for family records. Someone else has a family tree posted at Ancestry.com with Mary's family. But their family record shows her name as Marie Susanna Strang - instead of Mary Susan. And from the Find-A-Grave information, I was able to do a search for Irene Daigle Kiger and learning where she lived, I was able to locate their (presumed) son, Harry E. Kiger (born in 1951) - which is after Harry Edward Kiger Sr. died in 1950. I hope this helps. Good luck in your search.
