I also have some information that may help. My Mum is Eileen Kiff, born in London Colney, Herts. Her father was Donald Frank Kiff (born in London Colney), mother was Elsie Elizabeth Lovering(born in Withycombe Raleigh, Devon). My Mum was the only member of her family to emmigrate to Canada and she presently lives in Scarborough, Ontario. My uncle lives in Park Street, Herts and my cousin continues to live in London Colney. You can find all of us on the Kiff Family Tree. I am willing to help anyone who contacts me, if I can. Linda, are you the Linda Kiff who went to St. Joachim's school in Scarborough back in the '60s? If so, I was your buddy in crime - get in touch!

Surnames: KIFF
Hi
My name is Julie Ruth Newman (nee KIFF). My father was Harry Joseph KIFF and my grandfather Harold Joseph KIFF. My father was born in Enfield, and was brought up around Edmonton near London. My father died about 5 years ago and I have only just started looking into my ancestry so unfortunately I cannot give you further information although I do know that my grandmothers name was Louisa KIFF but she died when my father was only 13 years old.
Hope this helps your search, Julie

Surnames: Smith, Kiff, Stead
Hi this is in reply to Linda Kiff's post from 9th Feb 2002.
I think Florence May, mother of Arthur, could be my Great Grandmother.
Florence May Kiff (born Sept 1st 1883) was married to Harold Edwy Smith and then remarried after his death to Thomas Greaves Stead. I am just starting out and so have not got much further on either the Smith or Kiff line I'm afraid.

Hi
I have not been on the website for some time. Nice to see a posting. Florence May could possibly be the same. Maybe that is where my father got the name, Frederick HAROLD Kiff. Have you found any more information

Message to Benjamin Kiff. I am looking for an old friend who may be your father- Warren Kiff. We lived in Montreal and went to McDonald High School at Ste. Anne de Bellevue. I left Ontario in 1970. Warren Kiff worked for Canadian Tire at the time. He came once to visit me here in London Ontario. Could your father be my friend? If so, how can I contact him now?

Hi, June, I married a Kiff. I have documented my husband's line as far as St. George, Maine. In the early 1900's, the industrial revolution, many of them came here to southeastern Massachusetts to work in the jewelry industry. It is a large family, so it is taking time to document their movements, marriages, etc. Most had what would be considered large families today. There are several professionals among us, a teacher, an architect, a historian, a journalist, but most of the family worked in the 'shops' (factories) in the Attleboro, MA area for wages. Please know the Kiff line is alive and well here in North Attleboro, USA, and actively searching our roots.

I once met a "Kiff" family, sailing along the coast of Maine. They were headed south along the coast. November 1981-83 guessing. They were from Canada. He may have even said he was originally from England. I had helped Bill get some repairs done to the boat as well as gave him a ride from the grocery store, back to his boat and to and from a local garage. I remember that Bill said that he was a rare Bill, because it was his real name as opposed to his nickname. His Wife was Helen, and I believe she was from Germany. They had two Daughters, one named Sharon, and the other name I forget, maybe Nicole??? It has been a long time, and I have often wondered how they fared? It was late fall, and the weather was turning for the worse. They took my mailing address and was going to write when they arrived in Florida or somewhere for the winter, but I never heard from them again. Jim
