Hi, I would be interested in having photocopies of your book, including title page, etc. Of course I would pay for the copies and the mailing. My great-grandfather was Frank Clayton Kiff, father John, son of E... etc. I have some info but a lot is from the web pages. A distant cousin, since deceased, did a great deal of genealogy before computers. One fact that I have seen on the web traces Kiff back to England. Donald said that the family was Irish and was originally O'Keefe (phonically). Unfortunately, he wrote info down only on scraps of paper, etc. However, all of his spoken info has proven correct to date when I rechecked it. Please let me know the cost and I will send a money order to you for that amount. My address, by the way, is P.O. Box 224, Geneva, NY 14456 Many thanks, Sue Ward

I have just discovered that Andrew Kiff is my husband's grandmother's 4th great grandfather. I, as many of you seemed to have been, am stuck at George. Have you obtained any additional information over the years?

Hi Allison--Do you have the Kiff info from the book by Frances Sterling Drisko? There is a connection to the MacIntosh line through Andrew Kiff and Mary Mabie's daughter Elizabeth, who married a MAcIntosh. There is also a supplement to the MacIntosh book, also by Drisko, on the Kiff line, going back to the 1700's. We have made connection to descendents of almost all of Andrew and Mary's children, and there 9 of them. My email is pairadox@skyboot.com, if you want to answer me personally. Tricia Knudsen

Thanks for your response. The information I gathered came from a web site (www.rootsweb.com/~srgp/kiff.htm) that was part of a Sullivan-Ruthland Genealogy Project. It specifically covered the descendants of Andrew Kiff and Mary Junteau and referenced Frances Sterling Drisko's MackIntosh, MacIntosh, McIntosh: Descendants of Alexander MacIntosh and his wife Clara Younkhouse Junghans (Heritage Books, Inc., 1993).

Do you think I could gain access to these books at my local library? Does it contain information regarding Andrew's parents?

The Sullivan-Rutland site has much the same info on Kiff as the MacIntosh book, though I think the latter is easier to read and there is an addendum on the Kiff family, with more descendents, by the same author.. The MacIntosh book is out of print but Heritage Books has a CD with it on. If you can't find them, I think I have the address somewhere. Are you a descendent of Andrew and Mary Junteau Mabie? I tried to research the "Junteau" name on the Acadian/Cajun site, but was told there were many "Juneaus" but no "Junteaus" so am wondering if little Marie was understood correctly when she gave her real name. She was only 3. The MacIntosh book lists Andrew Kiff's father as "George". I can give you a little more historical info from the book on Andrew but am out of room here. Email me privately if you wish. Tricia Knudsen, pairadox@skyboot.com

I don't know if anyone is still watching this thread. Andrew Kiff and Marie Junateau are my 6th great grandparents. I'd be interested to see if anyone has gone any farther in this line as my tree stops here with them.
