Location of Kiedrowski's in West Prussia

I have recently discovered my Kiedrowski's residing in the 1840's near Wabrzezno and Chelmza area's in the little towns of Nowa Wies (Koniglich, Krolewska, Wieldzadz, Lipienek, Mgowo, and in that general area. It seems that Joseph Kiedrowski (the ancestor) might have followed his wife's, Rosalia Kurkierewicz's, family to the area. I am trying to find out where they may have migrated from. Does anyone know of any Kiedrowski's who may have lived near this area around 1840 or for that matter the location from which a large number of Kiedrowskis may be found?

Just a little about the family. Joseph- a tailor- and Rosalia had four children. The last three were born in Nowa Wies (Koniglich) from 1844 to 1851. Their names were Mattheaus, Catarina, and Johann. I have been unable to discover the locality of their marriage or where their first son August was born.

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks

They mostly come from Chojnice. Tons of them. A little northwest of where you're looking now. Although I've been told that sometimes families might adopt a polish name even if they're German and had a previous German name. This can really screw things up.

My Polish relatives (Johanne) adopted a German name when they came to the states, while his brother Matheaus retained his Polish surname.
