That is my great grandfather, I believe. He was married to Theodora, had my grandfather Herman (Harold) who had my father, also Harold.

Does this answer/help?

My maternal grandmother's maiden name is Kiedrowski. Her family lives/lived in WI and IL.

I'm seeking information on ancestors of Joseph Kiedrowski born Feb 6, 1869 in Luxemburg, Germany. Died May 3, 1954 in Hatley, Wisconsin. His middle initial is either "L" or "V". Also seeking information on his second wife, my great grandmother, Magdalena Garski born May 25, 1890 in Chicago, Illinois. Died April 25, 1965 in Wausau, Wisconsin.

I have some information on the decendants of Joseph Kiedrowski, if you'd like to compare notes.

Thank you in advance.

-Angela

Hello, Ronald,

I see you are collecting information about Kiedrowskis. Here is my family:

My grandfather was John Kiedrowski (1872-1932). Family sources say he was born in Vilna, near the Baltic Sea. He immigrated to the US in the 1890s and lived most of his life in New York City. He married Ida Waldchen (1876-1956).

His parents were Stanislaus Kiedrowski and Eleanor Petrowski. The family migrated from Vilna to Grudziaz (at the time, in German, Gradenz) in the early 1870s.

Stanislaus and Eleanor Kiedrowski had five or six children.

Stefan Kiedrowski (c. 1873-?), another of their sons, migrated to the US in 1907 (Ellis Island record) and lived in NYC. His wife was Elizabeth and he had children, Harry, born about 1907 and Alice, born about 1909 (1910 census records).

For your data base, do you want the information in any particular format?

Do you know any other decendents of this family?

I know some Kiedrowskis were Kashubians, a cultural group that migrated from Russia to Poland several hundred years ago. I don't know if my family were Kashubians, though.

I am not a member of Ancestry.com, only using the free trial. So please reply to me directly, eleahall@yahoo.com.

Thanks,

Eleanor Hall

I think there are/were Kiedrowskis in Milwaukee. Could they be cousins of yours?

Dear Nick, Your grandfather Thomas Vincent and my mother Lillian Chepon are first cousins. I do genealogy but haven't done much lately. I was raised in Naperville near Chicago. I would be glad to help you in any way if your are into genealogy.

Sincerely, Rose Mary Chepon

There are at least 3 different Kiedrowski family lines in Milwaukee that I know of (I'm from one of them). Oddly enough, there are even 2 other Matt Kiedrowski's in the area. My family line goes back to:
Grandfather: Robert J Kiedrowski, born 1/24/27, died 8/23/84. married to Natalyn (nee: Boser). 8 kids:
Robert Jr.
Sandra
Lori (deceased)
Christine
Robin
Cheryl
Jeannine (my mom, deceased)
Char

Not sure if this adds anything, but wanted to throw it out there.
