What book are you refering to. My wifes family came over from Austry and Hungry before WW1. and there name is Kiebach if you have any information would like to see it and any I have your welcome to also.

Surnames: Kühnbach, Kuehnbach, Kienbach, Kehbach
Hi Phil
My wife's name is Kühnbach, which in the past was spelt a dozen different ways, including Kienbach and Kehbach. She comes from the Württemberg area of South Germany, but the name may come from Switzerland or further Southeast.

MY WIFE'S FAMILY CAME FROM THE BORDER OF AUSTRY AND HUNGREY AND WENT TO GERMANY AND THEN I THINK HOLLAND AND CAUGHT A SHIP TO THE STATES FROM THERE AT ONE TIME THEY HAD A COUSIN IN GERMANY BUT PRETTY SURE SHE HAS PASSED AWAY BY NOW. NOT MUCH ELSE IS KNOWN FROM THERE ON BACK. DO KNOW SOME GERMANS LIVED IN YOGSLOVLY ( SORRY FOR THE SPELLING ) IN A LITTLE LIKE COUNTY THER4E FOR YEARS AND THEN MOVE ON TO GERMANY OR MAY STILL BE IN THE AREA AM NOT SURE BUT I THANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLY
