Records of the Hamilton Townnship Union (Lutheran and Reformed) Church in Monroe County, PA dating back to 1868 indicate that a son named Josiah KICHLEIN Repsher was born on July 8, 1867 and baptized March 23, 1868 to Jacob Henry REPSHER and his wife, Susanna WILLIAMS Repsher.

Exploring the possible, or even probable, relationship of this family to the KICHLEIN Family given the naming patterns of early German immigrant families.

Jacob Henry Repsher was born May 20, 1831 in Pocono Township, Monroe County, PA the son John Repscher (1803-1872) and Mary "Polly" DOLL (c. 1808-1856) Rebscher. He was the grandson of Adam Repscher (1772-1849) and wife, Catarina FEHR Rebscher (c1771-1774 to 1832) and the great-grandson of Johannes Repscher (Nov 10, 1729 - April 9, 1807) and his wife Anna Maria Elisabeth MULLER who arrived in America aboard the ship Union on September 27, 1773 at the port of Philadelphia, PA.

The Rebscher family's ancestral roots were in Beerfelden, Ober Mossau, Hesse, Germany. They were in Easton, PA, then Northampton Co, PA by 1775. It appears that the KICHLEINE family, too, came from Germany and lived in Easton.

The Adam and Catarina FEHR Rebscher Family worshipped at the Reformed Chruch, Plainfield Township , Northampton County , PA.

The John and Mary "Polly" DOLL Repscher Family worshipped in the Reformed Church of Christ (now the United Church of Christ on Third Street).

The Jacob Henry Repsher and Susanna WILLIAMS Repsher Family worshipped at the Hamilton Township Union Church, Monroe County, PA. Susanna Williams parents were Joseph F. WILLAIMS (c. 1804 - ) and Susanna BELLIS (BELLESFELT) (c. 1808 - ) with their daughter, Susanna, being born August 1836 - per the 1850 census, Residence Jackson Township, Monroe County, PA.

Does anyone have any research that can tie the KICHLEIN family to the REBSCHER / REPSHER Family all residing within the same general areas?
