The Orner/Arner Family Association seeks descendants of:

HENRY KIBE, Catherine Orner, c1823-____, Liverpool, Perry; Armagh, Mifflin, PA.

You are almost certainly descendants of Hans Ulrich Arner and Verena Eberhard, 1735 immigrants from Switzerland to Philadelphia. Join us for an August 24-25, 2002 gathering in beautiful Lehigh County, Pennsylvania (1 hour north of Philadelphia). For “reunion” information or to see where you fit into the *rner family, visit Joe Erner’s website at www.geocities.com/~erner/gen/arner which documents the Arner/Aner family to the 1500s, or contact us through the Arner Listserv at ARNER-L@rootsweb.com. We’re planning two fun-filled days including a catered Pennsylvania Dutch luncheon and the dedication of a memorial stone in the Heidelberg Union Church cemetery to honor the immigrants. Help us widen our circle of cyber-cousins and plan to attend. We welcome you.

Curious to know if this could possibly be the parents of Anah Catherine Kibe b. Jan 5, 1864 moved with parents to Iowa ca.1876 and m. Julius F. Hoeft.

Anah's father was Henry Kibe b. May 1822 in Rockfordge, Center County, PA. Henry appears on the 1870 census for Mifflin County PA. However, Anah's mother was Catherine Smith b. Dec 20, 1828 also in Rockfordge, PA.

Anah was one of 7 children, but I believe only two brothers and Anah lived beyond childhood. Siblings: Elizabeth, William Henry*, John David, James Reed, Samual M. Clay*, Cora Miscilah, and Anah Catherine*.

I would be happy to exchange info if this is the right family line.
