Re: Kibblewite family roots in north hampshire and west berkshire england
My great grandmother was Maria Pounds b1833 the Chilton Foliat area. Her father was Thomas Pounds b c1800 Avington/Kintbury.I've just found out that the Pounds used Kibblewhite as an alias. Have you any info on Pounds/Kibblewhite's?. There was a musical artiste called Charles Courtice Pounds plus 3 or 4 sisters in the same sort of work. Their father was born in Avington. Do you know of any connection?.

HI YOU MENTIONED CHARLES COURTICE POUNDS I BELIEVE THIS BRANCH OF THE POUNDS FAMILY MOVE FROM UFFINGTON TO AVINGTON VIA NEWBURY IN THE 18TH CENTURY AND WERE ORIGIANLY CALLING THEMSELVE POUND. THE POUNDS FAMILY AROUND HUNGERFORD WERE CALLING THEMSELVES KLBBLEWHITE FOR OVER FIVE HUNDRED YEARS, AND DESCENDANTS STILL LIVE IN THAT AREA.
