My Kibbe genealogy book suggests that this is probably the Isaac Kibbe born Feb 14, 1731 (or February 3, 1732/3)in Endfield, CT; married Margaret Terry February 20, 1755 in Endfield. He died February 11, 1779/80. He was the son of Isaac Kibbe, so being called "Isaac 2nd" makes sense. He apparently aided the Revolutionary War effort with money and supplies, despite being (apparently) a slave owner. Thanks for the information.

I would love a copy of this document. My father and I always love finding new Kibbe history to talk about. Our side of the family settled in Louisiana in the mid 1800s. My email address is hkibbe@msn.com

Thanks in advance, Harry.

Hi Harry,

This has nothing to do withIsaac Kibbe...but you mentioned that you and your Dad love finding things about the Kibbe family...Have you researched the Kibbe Bros Co. in Springfield, Mass.? They started a confectionary shop...I have several of their old confectionary containers...Just wonderful old chocolate containers (with bills of ladding)...It's really interesting to read about them and their company. Today many of their 'items' can be found on e-bay!!

Happy Kibbe researching!!!

A Kibbe family descendant,
Kim
