Hi all,
I think it would be incredibly useful for all us Khans out there if more people started getting their genomes mapped. I'm currently having mine mapped using 23andMe.com's service (which looks really exciting and I cannot wait to get my results). Getting tested is not only useful for diagnostic healthcare purposes (which is my main reason for getting it done) but it also helps people find each other with the relative finder tool, etc. Also, there currently is not enough genetic research in regards to Middle Eastern and Pakistani tribe DNA, which results in less knowledge about diseases (and therefore treatments) specific to those areas.
So if you're up for it, go ahead and get your genome mapped. It costs $99 for the 23andMe service (I'm not sure how much it costs through other programs) so it's not too expensive.
Message me if you get it done or have already had your DNA tested -- I want to compare genomes!
