Wow! Been searching for Alvin and Polly for many years and finally found some information on them in Osnabruck, Srormont County, Canada. Turns out they are part of a historical village near Williamsburgh, Ontario. We lost the trail in Massena and Ogdensburgh, NY in 1840. They Alvin showed up in Stormont County Ontario in the 1851 Canadian census with a new wife. I found a will on file in the Canadian probate courts, a court case against his second wife after he passed away in 1854, and grave markers on display at Pioneer Memorial in Upper Canada Village.
Meanwhile I also found a George Kezar in Mille Roches and a Pillip Kezar also in Stormont County. All records seem to be mid to early 1800s, around 1820 to 1880. Email me at
