I am searching for information on Margaret
(Ward) Keyburn. She was born 12 Sep 1835 in
Halifax, NS. She ran away from home in her
17th year to marry William Keyburn(e) and
they lived in New York.

She was alive in 1892 as Margaret Roberts,
widow, living at 23 Sholes St, Brooklyn, NY.

Is there anyone researching Keyburn or
Keyburne?!

Thanks,
Pat

Hi
I am researching Keyburn from Cork, Ireland migrated to Australia. I am related via my g g grandmother, Theresa, who emigrated to Sydney with her widowed mother, also Theresa formerly Tracey, & her sister. Her father was E, gas-fitter from St Peter's, Cork (only initial is known) who was probably the son of Michael Keyburn, tin-plate worker, St Peter's, Cork, Ireland. Michael was possibly the son of George Keyburn, brazier & tin-plate worker, St Peter's, Cork. As Keyburn was not a common name & mostly found in Cork, hopefully this will link with your ancestors.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Cheryl Smith, Townsville, Queensland, Australia

I know a little about the keyburns in NY. My main area of research are keyburns who arrived in Philadelphia in the 1890's. As we go back to Ireland, we might cross paths, I only have basic research for there, so far. willing to discuss what we might have in common. Barbara
