Okay. I give up. I've combed this message board and others with no luck. I'm just starting on this key geneology trip and am having trouble making any kind of connection. My grandfather's name was Rolly Gonet Key born about 1919 and died about 1983. Most people knew him by the name of Jack. He had lots of brothers and sisters. Some names are Nathan, Troy, Chester, Ova, Ophie, and others. His father's name was Leige Levi Key (born Jan. 2, 1874, died April 16, 1954) married first to Vaney Tucker and later to her sister Mary Elizabeth Tucker (born Feb 28, 1889, died Feb 20,1961. Parts of the family settled around Hamilton, Winfield, and Birmingham, Alabama. Anybody out there have ANY info on this family?

Have you heard of Marion Key that settled in Hamilton, Alabama? He previously lived in or around Sumter County, Georgia.

Hi I am also looking for Key information. My grandmother was Audie Bell Key McWhirter. Her parents, Elija "Lige" Levi Key born 1/1/1874 in Mississippi. He died 4/16/1954 in Kennett, Missouri. He married sisters, who first, I dont know. But Vaney Turner and then Mary Elizabeth Tucker, my g-grandmother, born in 1884. I have found Elija and Mary's headstones are in Kennett, Missouri. I cant read the exact dates on Mary but plan to visit it in a week since I live about a three hour drive from the cemetery. Elija's father's name is John Richard "Dick" Key, born in 1854 I think. Hope this helps and if you would like to share with me I wouldn't mind. sutterfieldn@gmail.com.
