Re: JOHN KEWLEY OCCUPATION " COOPER "
Dear John Thanks for your reply regarding John Kewley (cooper). My Grandfather, David Brown Kewley had five brothers, two of whom were named Robert and John. My great and great, great grandfathers were also named Thomas Henry Kewley, so it it certainly sounds familiar to your family. Robert is one of the six brothers that I heave had trouble researching. If it is the same man, he went to serve in WW1 with the Kings regiment. His five brothers and one brother-in-law served in different regiments. John we found recently in a war grave in France. Does this sound familiar? If so, I have much more information available.
Regards Ted Kewley

Re: JOHN KEWLEY OCCUPATION " COOPER "
Ted Thanks for your reply, my father Robert had 3 brothers (to my knowledge) George,Harold and John. Two sisters Alice and Emily. He served in WW1 with the Scots Guards, all 5 died in the UK 70 years old or more. Like so many of his generation he rarely spoke of the war, it's possible he lost a brother but not John. He was born in hospital and lived in Essex St., Bootle,Liverpool. Do the surnames Rumsey,Williams,Mills or Black mean anything to you? I would be interested in any info you have. Regards John Kewley
