Hey people I just wanted to say hi to any other Kewley's that may be out there. I have yet to hear from any family as I'm the only Kewley in my immediate area. Look in a phone book and goodluck finding any of us. In my area (Toronto) we are very lucky If any are listd at all. What People don't know is that our name changed in the family tree somewhere to Mc Cauly. I guess by family members and for whatever reason. It's noted in many Family tree books that we are of Norweigian decent and are basically Viking's.
Somewhere in time we settled in Europe and than finally found our way to North America. That's all I know I hoped I helped someone.

Hello,
I have a George W. Kewley of Douglas, Isle of Man. His parents were William and Maria Kewley. In 1900 he was living in Malton, Ontario and married Alice Maud Parker in Sault Ste. Marie. He lists his occupation as blacksmith. Would this be of any assistance to you.

Trying to trace ancestor Frederick Kewley who emigrated to Australia 1912. His sister Violet Kewley was my paternal grandmother. If you have any information or would like to contact,I'd love to hear from you. My father, Walton Robert Stainton is Thompson (later Thomas) Stainton and Violet's only child. He's now 88 years old and would love to know what happened to his uncle before he himself shuffles of this mortal coil!

hey steve,

my mother's maiden name is kewley. her father is daniel kewley, and his father is ralph kewley. both of these men have passed away, however daniel's has two brothers somewhere here in southern ontario (ferg and glen). i'm trying to locate more info on this mysterious last name too!

apparently ferg has written some sort of publication on the kewley ancestry that tracks us right back to our viking days. as i find out more, i'll drop you a line. good luck in your search!
