Hi, I am looking for information on the Keville family name. My grandparents came here from Ireland in the early 1900's. Probably to Boston or NY.
Thanks,

Tracy, My mother lived in Derrygola, Ballinafad, Boyle County Sligo, Ireland. She came over in 1929 with her mother, Katherine. She spoke out Kevillstown, but she was not from there, it was several miles away from where she lived. Her father's name was Owen and his father's name was Thomas.

Just thought I'd chime in. I was in Ireland last June and found several Keville's in Roscommon and in Galway. My Great Great Grandfather came from Cambridge, England to Sterling NY, which is on Lake Ontario, in 1820. From what I have learned the name Keville has it's origins in France before 1066. Some Keville's were with William the Conqueror at that time and soon after the Norman Invasion.
