Kevern, Keverne, Thomas
My maiden name was Kevern/e and the legend passed down through my family was that a grandfather from many generations ago was a foundling, left on the steps of St. Keverne Church. Part of the legend also told of a Spanish forebearer. How many generations back I have no idea but my paternal grandfather was Philip James Keverne, son of Thomas Keverne. Philip James was born c. 1903 and had a younger brother known as Bert who emigrated to the USA. Can anyone help? Does anyone's history include similar tales?
